Well, It's official...My Car is Dead! =(

Well, some of you may remember me posting a few days ago about my car not starting. There wasn't any water in the battery, so I added some distilled water and jumped it. Everything was fine until today. The car hasn't been used since the night I had the problems, which probably isn't good. Anyways, I attempted to start my car earlier today and got nothing. This time, the battery DOES have water in it, it tries, but it won't turn over. I'm probably gonna be ordering an Optima Yellow Top battery tonight, since I'll be putting my stereo in soon. Thank god my parents let me use their cars because I don't know what I would do. I gotta stop driving my dad's new Silverado and get back to using the Maxima so it stops dying. I'm just hoping it indeed is the battery and not the starter.

Oh well...this stuff really ticks me off!

Later,
-Nick

P.S. On a positive note, I ordered a STILLEN Rear Sway Bar for my baby today.

Battery

If you let the battery go dry them the battery will no longer hold a charge even after you refill it. You can't let it go completely dry. Most shops will check the alternater when you by a new battery to be sure the charging system is working.

Be careful. I was told that the optima batteries don't fare so well in cold climates and sometimes require jump starts at very cold temps.

Optima's do not fare well in cold climates? How cold do you speak of? I have a red top and it got to like -40 degrees w/ windchill and i park in open lots all the time, no problems ever starting.
