How long do I have to drive before my system is "ready" after a cleared code?
I was thinking 50-75 but I want to do it at the right time so I can pass inspection for my EGR clog.
Also I just got a PO440. Never got that before. IT said EVAP system. I really don't know much about the Evap system to be honest does the EGR valve issue have anything to do with it?
Anyway, I plan on Getting the EGR fixed but I need to get this thing to pass and I just spend a lot of money in getting my brakes, redone, Ebrake cable and my whole front end I replaced. Did all the work myself except for the Ebrake and alignment obv. lol
I know a shop that will pass me for my HIDS and exhaust. So I wanna take advantage for that. Cops in some areas that I drive hate it. The area I live in tho the profiling is fine.
So how long can I drive before it is ready before the light comes on?

P0440 has nothing to do with the EGR. It is for a small evap system leak.
You will have to fix it, as well as the EGR, or your SES light will continue to shine. Also, unless you perform the drive schedule perfectly, it could take several days for your readiness monitors to reset.

Well yah, I know I need to fix them. lol I know the light is just not gonna go away, but I want it to go away to pass. Because a SES light is fail even if it is low washer fluid(joke)
I drove 100miles since I did the reset. So far so good. I hope it is ready today.

Systems still wont be ready. It takes quite a long time, also in order to trigger them to a readiness state even quicker you have to drive the vehicle in a specific driving pattern. FYI, once they do get to the ready status you CEL will come up as well....

For my P0400 EGR issue that I have been lazy to work on, the system comes online and I can run the car to the inspection place and then the CEL comes on a day or so later.
What's funny is that even with the CEL, the EGR system shows Ready on the OBDII scanner.

Two things to remember here:
CEL on means the issue is not fixed.
System Readiness Tests can complete even though the problem isn't fixed.
If the CEL comes back on after you pass the test, then it is not fixed. You did pass however, and I know that it is all that really matters. The CEL hardly ever represents a problem that hinders performance.
