1st real snow in 3 years and my windows where open.
Only explanation I have is that I must have sat on the key FOB and opened the windows on accident. came out this morning to find this (and this is AFTER I started cleaning it):

Its so beat. Eff my roommate who not only fails to see how his disgusting hair clogs the shower drain but he came home from work at 4am and parked right next to me. Seeing all cars, under street lights covered in snow, it is soooo obvious if one has the windows open. I wanna choke him. Good point about my neighbors, too. Effin a-holes. I was gonna vaccuum it out but our extension cord didnt reach. ggrrrrr....

Holy crap. My keyfob always accidentally locks in my pocket, thank god I don't get any unlock/windows open accidental pushes.
I am definitely going to make sure I keep my keys out of pocket until I am out of range of the car.

Man that really sucks.
I got off of work one time to find my car with the windows fully down and I just about had a heart attack thinking someone busted out my windows, saw no glass and felt a little better, kind of like WTF just happened?
I'm still scared that it's going to happen again and I won't get very lucky, like you..

I had this happen to me about 2 and a half months ago. we got a big snowstorm in december and i guess my keyfob opened the windows. The storm lasted all night with my windows down. i had at least 2.5 inches of snow on every part of the interior. shop vacced the whole thing in the morning and dried it with towels. everything was fine including my satelite radio on the dash.

Hey that's one of the coooolest mods I ever seen lmao....ok that was chessy but that sucks that storm did come out of nowhere though it delayed any mods I had planned 4 the week.

i never leave the car w/o hitting the alarm 2 times. in winter i dont always hear all doors "click". plus i always make sure the windows are up, and im on the other side of parking lot so i dont think i could do that. i did set the alarm off 1 time at 6:45 am, pissed off 2 or 3 people.

Im glad I gave a bunch of you a good chuckle. I would laugh if it happened to somebody else, too. lol.
I cleaned up the best I could with towels, ect. I didnt have access to a shop vac so I did my best without. The dashboard is actually super clean now but the carpet on the floor is one big frozen chunk. Every time I go out to my car now, the windows are all fogged up and frozen, on the inside. Due to condensation I suppose. Everyone else is scraping ice off the outside of their windows and here I am...scraping the inside. baahahaha!! Lesson learned.
Anyone esle have a keyfob malfunction? Or, am I right by assuming I prolly just sat on it wrong???

OK enough laughter. I'll give you a tip on drying out the inside.
It's supposed to get warmer as the week goes on. As soon as your able, get the car in the sun, let it idle with the windows down about 1/4 and blast the heat on the floor setting. Let it run like that for a few hours.
That should dry out the carpeting and seats really well.
Good luck!

Definitely get some of those moisture removers for closets at Walmart or Home Depot. Until you get the moisture out of the car your going to keep having the moisture inside.
Any day it's above freezing get the containers in teh car. You'll have to keep emptying them out, but eventually everything will dry.
