pmohr im i kinda hitting it right or am i completly off??
From the FSM: EC-21

"The KS retarded timing systems is designed only for emergencies. The basic ignition timing is programmed within the 'anti-knocking' zone, IF recommended fule is used under dry conditions. The retard system does not operate under normal driving conditions. If engine knocking occurs, the KS monitors the condition. The signal is trasmitted to the ECM (ECCS). The ECM retards the timing to eliminate the knocking condition."

Just thought I'd share .... this needs to be a sticky for anyone with a KS question. lol
