Muffler Tip

So I bought a new walker quiet flow muffler, and noticed that it doesn't come with a muffler tip like stock does. Question is this... Does the stock one come off? and is it possible to put it on my new muffler?

Also, I looked on rock auto and PN Walker 35596 (chrome) and 36124 (ss), and the chrome one is 7 dollars and the stainless is 37. So whats with the drastic price differences? and how are these mounted on to the muffler?

Thanks,

- justin

Take a look at the pictures for the tips you want, you'll be able to see if it screws on or has to be welded on. Should also say in the item description.

IIRC the stock SE tip is welded on, but you could always cut it off if you really wanted to use it.

Any ideas?

The oem tip just slides off. At least mine did. Fit right on the new Bosal oem style muffler.

edit - You should start with a six point socket and large ratchet and just snap the bolts off the flange joints.
