My car radio/clock/and cig lighter wont turn off even when cars off
I have a 1996 maxima and just today it started to act a little funny. this morning i walked out to my car and i hit the door unlock button on my keyless entry remote. to my surprise when i opened my door my car radio was on and playing the cd that was in there. i was super confused. the clock is always on, the cigarette lighter has continuous power going to it and i can fully function the stereo all while the keys arent even in the ignition. thats all i can do though, the windows wont go down and the blinkers wont go on unless the keys are in and turned to the correct spot. does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this? if it makes any difference i have subwoofers connected to the stereo through a hi/low converter. oh yea, and the subwoofer amplifier is receiving continuous power as well. any ideas anyone? thanks

So something is backfeeding power to the accessory circuit.
Start pulling fuses until they go off, that'll narrow it down to what section of wiring you need to check, undoubtedly something you added.
Also, first thing is to disconnect whatever power wires you have running directly to the battery.

Did you forget to plug in your antenna (the big black piece that has two prongs that goes into the back of the radio)?
I forgot to plug mine in when I was installing my Kenwood navi and it was doing this too. Took me like 20 min to figure it out.
Is this an after market stereo or factory?
