A/C radiator fans - when does each come on?
I've discussed this here some before, but never a clear answer, so before I put out some cash, I'm hoping for a definitive answer.
I've looked in the service manual, but can't find what I'm looking for.
When do each of the radiator fans kick on?
I ask because only the driver's side one in my car runs, regardless. I think the passenger side is supposed to kick on when the A/C is running (and thus provide cooler air) but I can't seem to confirm this.
Anyone with a detailed answer?
Thanks!

One should operate when the compressor is on, correct. When above the trigger point, I believe both fans will run according to the data above.

Thanks for the info. I'm lost as to where in the FSM it is though. I looked everywhere in the HA section for this.
So now I've gotta dig in and figure out why my passenger side cooling fan never kicks on...does the FSM have a troubleshooting chart for that or should I just start at the fan motor and work my way out?

Both fans should run.
Use a multi meter, check for voltage at the dead fan's plug when the other is operating.
Got voltage - replace fan.
No voltage - check wiring, relays and fuses.
Troubleshooting 101

It's in EC, under P1900 - Cooling Fan.
