Did you reconnect the MAP sensor?

What EGR valve did you replace? The volume control valve, correct?

Did you replace it without first testing it? Have you tested the harness? Tested the new valve?

i did reconnect the map sensor, but i did not test the EGR before (the one with the sensor on top and a big pipe coming into it)

is it suppose to whine?

Exactly what is whining?

Have you tried disconnecting it to see if the whining stops? Is it whining with the ignition on or just with the engine running?

Err...ignition on or engine running?

Did you try unplugging it?

Have you not tested the new valve yet? Have you not checked the wiring yet?

Sorry for not being clear...only when the engine is running and you can still hear it for like 1/2 sec after. The car is turned off.

I am going to try to get a replacement tomorrow but any reason why the 0105 code would also show up? Where is the best place to make sure that I put all the vacuum hoses the right way? I really appreciate the help...this car is driving me insane and costing me a lot of $$

Again, did you unplug it to make sure that's what is making the noise?

The MAP code could be from leaving it unplugged, leaving a vacuum line off, a few other things.

See here:
Code: P0105 | Description: Absolute Pressure Sensor

Are you Fed or Cali spec? The vacuum diagrams are a bit different.

Have you or have you not tested the harness yet?
