Its all done. Rear cover has a new gasket so does the UIM. New fuel filter and oil change.

I took it on the freeway tonight and there is something wrong with the cruise control. Everything looks ok under the hood so I got no idea wtf is wrong with it. It had hard time keeping speed, it would down shift and keep high RPM without accelerating. When I tried to bring the speed up with the button on the steering wheel it would not go up at all or if it did it went back down when I let off the button. HELP!

So it drives fine when under normal throttle, only has cruise issues?

You checked the vac line to the cruise actuator, and made sure the cruise cable was properly in place? Checked that the throttle cam for the cruise cable moves freely?

I guess I will have to check that. My friend was the one to put them back on.

@ Pmohr: what is "Checked that the throttle cam for the cruise cable moves freely?" That cam you are talking about? I looked the vacuum hose it seemed fine. I will recheck it when it stops raining.

I am still to look at the vacuum hose though.

Spark plug seals don't fit

I am trying to put in the spark plug seals I got from felpro (autozone). They don't seem to fit or are too big. Is there a technique to get them in or did I not get the right ones. I bought one from my Nissan dealer to compare but they too appear to be larger than the rings on the Valve cover.

Can somebody tell me how to install these spark plug tube seals?

Any advice on installing the spark plug tube seals. I got mine from autozone (felpro) and they seem to be too big to fit in the rings of the valve cover.

I got the same felpro set from autozone and they don't seem to fit on the valve cover opening. What do ya mean "installed inside out"? Is there a technique you can describe?

I think you are trying to put them in from the front of the valve cover. They go in from the inside of the valve cover take the old ones out compare new to old then oil them then press them with seal driver. put in same way they came out that's what I did, I also used felpro

It is kind of hard to get the new once in. You have to force them a little. And yes you do install them on the bottom part of the valve covers, not through the top. Just carefully push it in and it will work. good luck
