Difference between 4th and 5th gen motors?

Hey everyone.

I had a question for you guys. I was just curious about the difference between the 4th and 5th gen motors. I know they are both vq and both 3.0L but have different HP.

I was curious what causes that because I had seen an older post by Road Beat where he said that he has 222 stock. I know he is from the Mid east but curious as to what they changed on motor from ours that gave it the extra power and if that is somehow connected to the way the HP on the 5th gen is more too.

Aldo here comes another question that may have been asked but my search came up short. If there are certian parts that gave it this extra HP is it possible to swap those parts into a 4th gen? Is there anything that restricts it. I just seems to me if there was a way to do it more people would have it done already. I am just curious as to what the difference is though.

Thanks

SuDZ

Do a search for a thread about the 5th gen intake manifold on a 4th gen... its like 8 pages long I'm surprised you've never read it. You will find your answers there.
