Cloth Seats to Leather?
Cloth Seats to Leather?
Sup guys,
I have a 97 maxima w/ cloth seats and I've been wanting to put in leather seats but I don't know which kind. Can I buy any type of leather seats from a 95-99 maxima or does it specifically have to be from a 97 max? Also how do you change the front two seats? Is it difficult?

They just bolt right in...
Have you actually looked at it yet? It's much easier to do that and actually see than reading it here and trying to visualize it.
4 14mm head bolts for each seat. Takes all of 10 minutes per side, most of that is getting the seats in and out.

It's really a simple swap, the hardest part is getting the damn track covers to unclip
super easy to do, i have taken my seats out so many times,
all you gotta do to get the complete look is to get all four door covers with the leather inserts. that way you cant tell is ever came with cloth

Yes, as stated, very easy to do.
You would also, to complete the look, need to swap the door panel inserts.
To do this, what you do is rip off the fabric part (just take a screw driver and lightly peel up one edge and then peel the rest). Then, take the leather insert (if you can get them in the color you want) and set them aside the door panel (with the tabs pushing into the panel) to make the marks. Then use a blade or knife of some sort and make some notches in the panel. Insert the leather insert, fold the tabs, and you're done.
Do this with the door panel off the car.
My car was tan cloth. It is now tan heated leather.

Do you not have power seats now? If not, you'll have to check to see if you're prewired for them or not. If not, you'll have to run power to the seats yourself.

I know that mine was driver's side power seat only, but when I did my swap, the passenger side had a plug right under the seat

Don't remember offhand, so figured I'd play it safe.
Only my driver seat is powered, nothing else. Will I have to wire anything for power passenger front seats also? How do I remove the seats again? I just unscrew some screws that's it and it comes out along with the bracket??
If you're not pre-wired on the passenger side, you'll have to run power yourself. You take out all 4 bolts and the seat comes out.
