Will a 96 ECU work in a 95? (both 5 speeds)

I know there are just a very few differences in the pin-outs but I was wondering if anyone had just swapped them without changing any of the pins (i really don't want to have to do that).
taken from Pmohrs sticky (thanks)

the differences are that the Crank POS has 2 spots in the 95's. I'm going to have to find out what pin 45 is in the 96's since that is being substituted.

Also, Pin 25 on the 95 and Pin 43 on the 96 are raising questions.

I'll dl some fsms now.
thanks.

One thing to bear in mind: the 96 ECU will be searching for the sensor signals from the various components in the evaporative emissions system. The 95 car does not have any of these, so the result will be a never-ending check engine light.

Unless.................

You get one from a Fed spec 96 I30. For some reason, this particular combination was excluded from the electronic evap monitoring. Strange.
