I got these new bulbs on ebay. The hyper white bulbs> I think they are100 watts. had them for a while now. they look ok, but would a wire harness make them look more like HIDs. I know nothing will look like true hid's but just wondering about the harness?

I don't think it's the harness. I think it's the bulb..

wow, $80...should have looked online, paid $50 shipped for mine. But it is definetly worth the $80 after you get some tight bulbs...

they will brighten your lights

You will receive a direct connection from the battery, thereby increasing the voltage and current. The stock set up goes from the battery through thin gauged wires to a relay box, through the firewall, to the switch, back through the firewall and finally to the headlights. If you take a multi-meter and test the stock headlight voltage, you should find the harness to be significantly higher. Your aftermarket amplifiers work in the same manner.

But yeah, get higher wattage bulbs to take full advantage of the harness.

Hey guys, I think a few have tried this before, but could you just make your own higher wattage harness by using 2 relays for each headlight(high beam/lowbeam), use thicker wire, and a 5 dollar 9004 sockets from pep boys/auto zone? Or even better could you just run the wires from the relays straight to the headlights, behing you can use small negative speaker terminal female spade connectors that fit right onto the light terminals. I have done this before to bench test lights, but never for an extended period of time. And on your car all you have to do is tap into the high and low beam wires on each side for the relays, run the battery wires, and a ground for each relay and light. That way when you sell the car or decide to take the higher wattage bulbs out, you can just snip the relay wires and you can still use the stock 9004 harnesses. Any comments?

shieet.......80 dollars US???? you can get them for about 20-25 cdn (14-17$US) a pair at many places in ontario canada. if you install these bulbs on the stock wiring, are you risking burning out the stock harness?
