Sports springs on stock struds/shocks?
Sports springs on stock struds/shocks?
i was thinking on lowering my car, but i was also wondering if i could get away with buying just lowering springs and stay with stock struds/shocks. planing on about 1.5 to 2.0 inches drop.
plus any ideas on good springs??
Thank you

it will work, but your best bet is to save for coilovers. ive been thru about 4 strut mounts 'cause i used tein s tech springs roughly 2" drop. and dont buy tokico blue, or kyb struts thinking they can handle the drop, plain and simple, they cant. those struts are pretty much OEM, and they wont last long before you start to buttom out, bounce, and hear popping noise from your strut mount.
Q: Can it physically be done?
A: Yes.
Q: Will you still be happy with the result after you've put some miles on the combination?
A: Probably not.
At this point, I can only assume that the struts/shocks are the originals, and are already being overpowered by the OE springs. Aftermarket springs will only make this worse.

You are aware that they make more than one model of struts, right?
