Is it common for our alternators to go bad before 90k??? I'm at 88k now and thought it might be kind of early for an alternator to go bad, I've been trying to price them and so far nobody has them in stock and they're expensive!!! Thanks in advance.

 

I have the 99 model and the alt died at around 94k miles. Yeah nobody seems to have them except the dealer when I was looking for one.

 

yeahh mine went out at around 60k......wat you could do is call a local alternator place get a rebuilt one, it'll be alot cheaper.

 

Rebuild the one you have or go to a junk yard.
