lowering the 95 max.. difficulties!

i have gr2 struts and megan racing springs.. its a 1.9front 2.0rear drop what are the dangers in doing this? what should i expect for handling and ride changes besides a rough ride?

dont waste your time with those springs. you will have no suspension travel. stick with a 1.5" drop or less. gr-2's are OK with mild drops.

The GR2's should work with those springs, but I definitely wouldn't do it. If you wannt those garbage springs go ahead and try them, but the drop is too aggressive for those struts. They'll blow. Keep the drop mild, 1.5" or less. If you want a more agressive drop you'll need better struts (Illuminas or AGX's).

do you want your care to just "look" good, or do you want it to handle well also?? A lot of people like the illuminas since they hardly every break and are pretty damn durable. But remember that you cannot adjust ride height without a coilover system. search for suspension setups and you'll realize what you like considering if you want to be slammed, get rid of some wheel gap, have a crazy stiff suspension, or whatever you want. I think some people have ran megan springs and are ok with it. Just don't get dropzone.

so you're basically juss looking for a mild drop and have no concern for handling right??

i would recommend that you get the h&r springs. they'll give you a nice drop (1.4" front, 1.3" rear) and you won't be sacrificing that much comfort either.

an alternative to these are the tein h-tech's. these springs will drop the car slightly more in the front (1.6" front, 1.2" rear).

both are relatively similar in terms of comfort and handling. both springs would also pair nicely with gr-2's or you could get adjustable shocks (such as tokico illumina's or kyb agx's) for even better comfort.

damn, this is one thing i hate about 4G maximas. the "drop" on any spring doesnt go passed 2.2 up front and 2 in the rear. with that on the car it still looks stock height. gr2's are good struts, my brother ran those on his integra with a 2.5in drop up front and 2 somethig on the rear for a year and the sturts are still good.

as for megan springs skip those and get some ksports and call it a day. you'll have enough clearance for 18's and the ride will be a tad rougher than stock. them struts while hold for a good while...
