Do you have the skills/knowledge/tools to install said parts yourself?? If so, then $500-$750 would be a fair price. If not, forget about it.

well im still trying to find out what more or less i should be putting into this car because i dont mind putting the work into it if its worth it. would i be able to get another year or two out of it. the rest of the car is in great shape indoor wise body has a few dents other then the front its looks sound. i no im goin to put a bodykit on to the car and i can find a aftermarket hood or whatever. Most likely would look into basic performance mods intake etc... I just dont no how these cars run when they get into the 220.000 miles and up. Dont know if it would be worth it down the line to get a new engine to put in down the road when money frees up.

My friend bought a fully loaded 97 SE with 103k miles 5 speed, rebuilt tranny, just re-painted pearl white for 3500 even.

There are nice cars out there just look around..

250k miles.. man. Mine has 230k miles, but has a 50k mile motor and putting a new tranny (3rd one) in it as we speak. I can't even imagine how much longer that 250k will last. Although I doubt he drives it like I drive mine I'd offer 500 see if he takes it. 1500? ...No way in hell.

220K? I wouldn't worry about it. My 97 has 213K and a frshly rebuilt 5 spd. Once I got the gearbox broke in, I've been hitting it pretty damn hard and it's been running like its still brand new. But nah, I wouldnt give more than 750 for the miles and needed body/mechanical work. You also failed to mention if it is a 5spd or auto?

I'd give him 500 for it. Find a used tranny off ebay or something and try to bring them as low as possible. I found on ebay for 400 not shippped. I brought him down to 190. Those guys on ebay overprice everything. They probably forget they have those items up for sale so when someone comes along and underballs them hard they might take it. I offered 150 and he shot back with 200. etc. Just saying.

yeah i would sy 500-600. I wouldnt worry about the mileage to much engine wise just tranny wise. I see its a gle so im assumming its a auto which can usually be picked up pretty cheap, im sure even locally you can pick one up cheap(off car-part.com)

Offer to take it of their hands for 50 bucks more than the scrappers in your area will.
