Resonated Exhaust Tips?

Hi, I have a Budget Y pipe with a Budget B pipe with a Magnaflow resonator going into a Borla straight through design muffler. Currently for the exhaust tip I just have a regular Borla intercooled tip.

Overall I don't mind the sound of my exhaust, but I put all this on about 6 or 7 years ago when I was more tolerant of exhaust noise... and was wondering if adding a resonated exhaust tip would reduce the volume a few db's? Does anyone have experience with resonated exhaust tips?

I found this online: http://www.assuredautomotiveproducts...2&productId=64

It's only $30 and looks to be about what I had in mind. (I wanted somethign low profile, not flashy etc) My only concern is that it really is stainless steel like it says and doesn't rot out on me in 6 months.

I have seen other much more expensive resonated exhaust tips as well. Particulalry the Magnaflow ones: http://www.thefind.com/cars/info-exh...onated#local=0

And these zoomer things: http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/exhaust_tips_pv.asp

The Magnaflows are really expensive and I didnt see one with a 2.5 inlet. The zoomers dont have prices listed but I bet they are really expensive and they seem gimmicky.

I'm tempted to buy the $30 one just for experimentation purposes. Any thoughts on this topic would be much appreciated.

I have no experience, but would imagine it won't quiet anything down inside the car. It may or may not work outside the car but I have no experience there

I'd be interested in quieting the exhaust both inside and outside.

Pulsar: Why do you say it won't do a thing? Can you please explain? Do you have personal experience or know someone who does (I except hearsay testimony)?

It seems to me like it would have to reduce the volume a bit. It has a perforated core, so it's essentially like a mini muffler.

Anyone have experience with this?

it's just a tip. it won't do anything. when i had my exhaust replaced, and the stainless tip welded on the next day, it sounded exactly the same.

this is similar to mine (mines a little shorter). i just cut off the clamp part and welded.
