1997 GLE. Bank 1 is where?

1997 GLE. Bank 1 is where?
I have a failure code of P1030 which is "front O2 sensor bank 1"
The FSM shows a picture of 'Right Bank (bank-1)' and its located at the *front* of the car. Everything I've read on the forum states that Bank 1 is actually near the firewall. Is the FSM reference illustration incorrect?

In the 1997 FSM, he may be talking about page EC-11, labeled "ECCS Component Parts Location." I believe the annotations "Left bank (Bank-2)" and "Right bank (Bank-1)" are swapped in the figure. "Left bank (Bank-2)" should be associated with the arrow pointing at the bank with the oil fill cap (cylinders 2,4,6). Right bank should be pointing at cylinders 1,3,5 under the UIM. Pmohr can you confirm?
