My Driver door has decided not to latch anymore. Can't find any treads on this.
Have the door panel off, but before I go any further, what do I have to take out to get the latch mechanism out? Have the FSM, but it doesn't go into getting it out?
Where can I get a new mechanism? Is a junk yard my only choice or does someone sell new ones?

 

before you tear the latch out see if the rod it latches onto is tight - 2 bolts on either side. i had the same issue and the rod was loose.

the striker is it's name pt# 80570M

It's definitely the striker. The part on the bottom doesn't rotate up like it should. Have it half out.
