I need new ball joints for both front LCA's. What kind are the best to buy and where should I buy them? And how much are they? Thanks.

honestly i would bit the bullet and get new control arms.. i replaced a lot of ball joints and they are a pain the but..

 

ive purchased used LCA's i am replacing the bushings in them as well as the ball joints before putting them on my car. Im using the ES bushings and i need to know where to get the ball joints and which to get.

 

Is there a sticky on replacing LCA's? How do you know when they are bad? Do they make noise?

 

I literally JUST did this repair last night on my 99 GLE. I opted to replace the entire control arm because it's a lot easier, and you'll have new bushings too. Mine were $135 CAD a piece, and they have lifetime warranty.

You also might want to change the sway-bar end links.

 

thanks but again, i am replacing the whole control arm. i just the ball joints to go in the control arm im replacing it with, which has ES bushings. i need to know which to buy and where to buy from.

 

get MOOG from any parts store - lifetime warranty from MOOG on their parts. i got mine from o'reilly at $38.99/piece
