...did you search at all?

Seriously, it's a sticky.

And why would you want to swap to an open diff trans?

yeah is read that.... and im suppose to get a answer from it ? One guy says the passenger one needs to be changed, the next guy says no mine fit fine...

some have the 01 lsd and others have the 4th gen lsd.... ill compare parts with Nissan, it will be much easier.

oh and im changin it cause LSD is next to impossible to find...a rebuild cost 1000-1500, plus labour. Or i go buy a non-lsd for 500 and call it a day.

Its a stock maxima is not going to make or break the performance.... plus its a winter beater its 12 years old.... So i dump mad money into this or save and put the monies towards my ARP stage 3 kit for my S4

I have searched and that is why im asking again,

Okay, for the obviously search impaired:

The passenger side axle is the same. Everything is the same except for the driver's side axle.

A32/A33 RS5F50V are externally and functionally identical.

Happy?

The part numbers are all the same, and it's been demonstrated time and again, but I guess you'll just have to wait for someone to come along that's actually done it

And what's so hard about a trans swap? Takes a couple of hours at most.

took me 2 hours to do my trans in my friend's driveway with all hand tools on friday.

....then again this is my 4th clutch and 3rd trans so i got it down to a science.

btw, i did the vlsd. there is no difference in labor...get the driver side axle for the corresonding trans and you're good as golden.

Feedback...

You're arrogant and maybe it's better if you have to find the information yourself. This topic is discussed regularly and the question has been answered many times over when asked by less obnoxious people.
