MY 1997 PROJECT MAXIMA......

FUEL SMELL AND SLIGHT SIGHT OF WHITE SMOKE FROM EXHAUST, THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING A FEW MONTHS. DONT SHOW ANY SIGNS OF LEAKS ON THE GROUND, AND THE ONLY REASON ITS PARKED IS BECAUSE HAVENT REGISTERED THE CAR YET... BUT THE WHITE SMOKE ISNT BAD , AND GOES AWAY AFTER RUNNING A LIL BIT AND SO DOES THE FUME SMELL ... BUT THAT FUEL/EXHAUST SMELL IS COMMON FOR ME FOR SOME REASON EVERY 4TH GEN IVE OWNED DOES THAT ...

IM JUST CONCERNED , ANY IDEAS OR AM I OVER DWELLING ON NOTHING??

I DO START IT AND RUN IT FOR A LIL BUT, AND TAKE IT AROUND THE BLOCK EVERY OTHER DAY...

First of all, drop the damn caps. Seriously.

Second, your sig is way too big.

Have you looked for any leaking hoses? That's most likely what's occurring, slight leaks from either the cross over hose, the hose from the FPR, or the hose from the filter to the rail. Tighten up the clamps, bet they're loose.

The white smoke is likely just condensation blowing out, especially if it just happens on a cold start.

Just tighten the clamps on all of the fuel lines. One on the right side that connects the two fuel rails together, one coming off of the FPR, and one going from the filter to the rail.

Injectors when they die, fuel filter when it's dirty. The fuel filter's mentioned in the maintenance schedule, IIRC.
