Average time to change out a VQ30.

Found a car, that the body and interior are in good shape. But the motor is blown, not really sure the full condition be it blown head gasket or what. Either way what you estimate time wise to swap this motor out.
I've done a couple of swap but all RWD cars.

I suppose I'd throw a new clutch on it while I was in there.

If you've done a motor swap out in the maxima just give me a rough estimate of how long it took.

It completely depends on your mechanical aptitude, tools, working environment, and desire to get the damn thing done.

For a first timer, lay out a good two days to not just swap the motor, but troubleshoot any issues you have afterwards.

Just remember to sand the block/upper oil pan and the bellhousing where they meet.

Unlikely to be a BHG on a VQ30, FWIW.

Book time is 16.7, assuming you're going to have to swap some stuff around (which you likely will, assuming the new motor doesn't come from the same year, emissions spec, and trans).
