An 00VI would be easier than swapping in the whole DE-K.
If I was going to swap engines, it would be the VQ35, not a little 3L (

i SERIOUSLY don't know why you have an account here. but i'm gonna give you a chance, because i KNOW nobody else will.
FWD cars use FWD blocks. Reason being, but definitely not limited to, the orientation of the engine, and therefore the transmission.
next time you're under your hood (i hope to god, buddha, and joseph smith that you have been under the hood of your car), take a look at which direction your engine is facing. i BET the transmission is bolted to the driver's side. Take a look inside a car/truck whose drivetrain is RWD. (examples: pretty much ANY truck, as well as 240sx, 350z, g35, mustang, etc.) In RWD cars, the transmission is bolted to the REAR of the engine. THUS...the engine is "pointing" front to back, and FWD engines are "pointing" left to right. It should also be noted that the "front" side of your FWD block is technically referred to as the "driver" side, and the "rear" side of your FWD block as the "passenger" side. this may be a tough concept to grasp, but if you can imagine TURNING a RWD engine block with the transmission attached so that your transmission is on the actual driver's side of the engine bay, it will match the orientation of a FWD block.
MUCH, MUCH more goes into converting a RWD engine to a FWD frame. It simply is just too complicated, too time consuming, and not worth the money.
you're better off:

you're better off:
- swapping a VQ35 from any FWD frame (maxima, altima, even quest can be done too)
- retrofitting an 00vi (please, PLEASE search. don't ask here.)
- waiting until (IMO) 2011/2012 when they introduce a FWD VQ37.
