Yes the engine will fit in a 97 max se trunk, but I dont think you can close it all the way so you'll probably need a strap to tie the trunk lid down during transport.

The Tonka mod works well with the VQ37 swap, youre gonna need bigger wheels anyway, you dont wanna burn out ya little 18" rims and tires wit all that extra power.
