CEL codes
The day before yesterday, my CEL light came on. I got 3 codes, 0304-Knock Sensor, 1005-EGRC Solenoid Valve, and 0707-02 Sensor circuit malfunction. Now is it possible that the 02 sensor set off the other 2 codes, or does that not usually happen? Could replacing the 02 sensor fix the other 2 codes, or is that something else all together? And are Ebay "Oxygen sensors" good, or are they prone to failure? Anyone had problems with Ebay sensors?

well i fixed the EGRC Solenoid Valve, now ive got another code, P1105-1302 Manifold Absolute Pressure Switch, and the 1005 code and knock sensor code are still there. When it was changed, I had them clear the light, and i drove it around the block, and the light came back on, so i told them to run it again. They ran it again, it their reader said "No Diagnostic Codes", so they said they light was in the memory, and just disconnect the battery overnight. I disconnected it for a few hrs today, but not overnight. The light didn't go away, so i took it to advance auto parts, and the 02 sensor code went away, but in its place i got the Manifold Absolute Pressure Switch code. My car isn't doing anything abnormal, and pulls strong. Any ideas as to what is wrong now?

Are you saying you replaced the EGRC solenoid valve and cleared the code, but now you're getting the code again, along with a code for the MAP/BARO solenoid valve? Are you sure you didn't get those two mixed up (easy to do), and changed out the MAP/BARO solenoid instead, and left a vacuum hose or the harness disconnected from it?
It's probably best to clear all the codes, drive the car, and see which codes get set.

Well i did drive the car, and cleared the codes, and those are the codes that got set. This was all about a day or 2 after i got it fixed. The light stayed off while it was on, but when i turned it off, and turned it back on, the light came back. And i think i changed out the EGRC solenoid valve. I got the part from Dave B., and he said it was the right part. I also looked in the FSM, and from what i can tell, the EGRC solenoid, and the MAP/BORO solenoid look exactly alike. If anyone has pictures of both of these, please post them, so i can see the difference. I know it has 2 nozzles where the vacuum lines are supposed to go. And on the invoice it says something to the effect of solenoid valve assembly, but idk exactly, and cant remember the part number. Im not at home, but still have the invoice so when i get back, ill post the part number, maybe then someone will no if i got the right part or not.

That's not the EGR control solenoid valve, that's the MAP/BARO solenoid valve. The EGR control solenoid has a green electrical connector, the MAP/BARO is brown. The EGRC solenoid is mounted on the side of the vacuum gallery, directly across from the lower intake manifold. It looks like you got the right replacement part, because it has a green male connector. The harness end of the EGRC solenoid has a green female connector.
Hopefully you kept the original valve you removed, and can put it back where it was, and replace the EGRC solenoid valve with the new one.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! UNFORTUNATELY.......I threw it away! But are the parts the same? Can i just order another 1 of these and put it in the right spot, or do i have to move this part to the right spot, and get a different part to put here? And just to be sure, the MAP/BORO solenoid valve has the brown male connector to go with the brown female connector, and the same for the EGRC except green?

If you got the new one from Dave B, I would call him and ask him if the EGRC and MAP/BARO solenoid valves are identical (except for the color of their electrical connectors). If they are he can send you another one and you can use it to replace your EGRC solenoid. If he says they aren't identical, tell him to send you the MAP/BARO solenoid valve, the one with the brown connector. Then you'll have to move the one you already installed to the right place (replacing your bad EGRC) and install the new MAP/BARO solenoid to replace the one you took out.
If they are in fact identical, then there must be some other reason it's throwing a P1105 code.

Well i had the solenoid valves put into their right positions, and all codes are gone except for 1, the P1105-1302 Manifold Absolute Pressure Switch code still remains. The MAP/BORO Solenoid Valve was changed, so what else could be triggering this code? The guy at advance autoparts said its my MAF Sensor, but he also thinks that 95-99 Maximas use 2 different engines so..... Anyone know what could be causing this code? Could the vacuum hoses be in the wrong places? Anyone able to tell me which hose goes where or have a pic of it?
