1st year anniversary with my 1995 :)
Well, I made a thread like this with the 3rd gen a couple years ago and thought the 4th gen deserved one as well.
So here goes, last year I was working at a local junk yard and my daily driver was my 93 at that time my coworker was fed up with me always modding stuff for it or pulling parts here and there and told me the instance a decent driving 4th gen got junked, I'd have dibs on it. On June 21, we got a decent Dark Blue Pearl 95 GXE 5spd which was getting junked by a local used car dealership (which was a normal "client" at the yard) that couldn't sell the car due to the mileage (lol) so my coworker instantly called me up from break and had me go check the car. Everything seemed to be running right except for the starter and the cat was cut off prior to "junking". So my coworker loaned me the $400 bucks and bam, I was a 4th gen owner.
So in order for the car to be street worthy I had to get a starter ($80) and a pipe welded ($30) When I got the max it had 286k miles but drove like new, today it has 313k miles and its still holding up with my abuse. I replaced the clutch last year in July but thats like brake pads...normal wear and tear.
I've replaced very minimal stuff, hell havent even done a tune up on it since its been super efficient on gas and power has always been there, it gets me an average of 32mpg highway and 24ish city. Just thought I'd post a thread since this car has really proven itself to be a tough reliable machine that is worthy of keeping many more years if the rust allows.
Pics might come in later for those that are interested and also to make up for the boring long story

Yea for now, just keep doing your oil changes on time and you'll be there in no time

Yea, I love this car for the fact that its a fairly fast grocery getter gas saver, even with 5 reasons for the CEL to be on lol..2 of those should be going away after wednesday. I picked up a rebuild kit for the transmission since its starting to whine and click

Tomorrow I start pulling the trans on my 95...gonna get the trans rebuilt, axle warrantied at idiotzone, new hawks hps, rotors cut, new front motor mount, shifter bushing, 2 new tires warrantied from good year, struts, might just replace the ebrake cable while at it since only one side is holdin on...its gonna be nice once again after all this is done
Redline MT fluid going in too
Anyone know if I can actually pick up LCA bushings that are NOT Energy Suspension or any sort of polyurethane? As f550maranello stated, dealership doesnt sell the bushings alone, anyone know someone that does? I'm tired of squeeking
