Its always sad to see a MAX TOTALED. here is my store /w picks

well let me start off by saying this baby had 150k miles with a tranny that was rebult 5k miles ago. this was a pleasure to drive and to own. unfortunately a tree fell on my car in a storm making it almost a convertible. and i donot have comprehensive coverage meaning my insurance will not be paying for anything however i was thinking would my home owners insurance or the condo association insurance pay for the damages? anyways guys this car and i had a lot of memories and now its gone. any sugestions for future car?

That sucks..but future car? How about another 4th gen Maxima, it looks like you can still salvage a lot of stuff off that one too.

Had this happen to a 91' Stanza (Nissan) .... that's what made me get my 3rd gen, then a 4th. lol Sorry, that does suck!!!! To top it off for me, I got to see it happen! I had just gotten back from Europe and went to show some friends pix, started getting really windy, I asked if it was gonna rain - YES! So, I went to roll my windows up, 10 seconds sooner and I'd have been in my car when the lightning hit the tree and caused it to cover my car. Was something to see - no doubt!

Same deal ... no insurance coverage - 'act of God' ... :

yeah, 6th is nice, then there's less maintenance to do.

These cars are funny. The VQ is dead reliable, I can't think of a single person on the org who managed to kill a VQ30 in NA. But everything around them breaks - O2 sensors, exhaust, MAF, knock sensor, EVAP canister, starter, alternator, steering rack, all that stuff generally gets replaced on the 4th gen.

Yeah it sucks letting a max go man. I was rear ended and it was totaled. But i bought it back and is now my parts car, Which i might add comes in very handy

But i have to admit though i miss my 97 badly and is no where near my 96 but hopefully the 3.5 will make up for it
