new 4th gen owner

well not too new im from east bay, bay area, CA. I was 17 when I got my first maxima back in august and now 18 and recently graduated high school (I know has nothing to do with introduction but whatever), I got my first maxima in august, 2008. It was a 1995 SE 5spd She was my first car and damn was she so much fun to drive, I got T boned on January 8th and she was totaled at 133,000miles I looked all over the place for a whole month and came around a 1997 SE 5spd fully loaded with only 76,900 miles! so I got the dude down on the price, actually like $2000 I walked out of the place with my new baby for only $4000. Since then I have loved modding it and just every time I get money from work, parents, whatever I throw it into maintaining and modding my car (mods are in sig)
so that's basically my story. I have been on this site since sep, 08 but never really started looking at it or posting anything until march(ish)
you guys all seem smart and I hope this is the right maxima forum too be in

I'm sorry but that's not totalling it IMO. That's totally fixable, for much less than 4k. Still though nice find on the 97. I have a 96 with 92k on it.

that's what everyone said but apparently the rear axle was completely broken off or something?
I don't really care it was the other persons fault 100% so my insurance didn't go up a dime

Could have gone down to the junkyard or something man if it was really busted, but as long as the axle didn't split in half or something I'm sure it could have been re-attached. A sad loss really, but again, congrats on the new one, does it have leather?

I also got my new to me 99max gle in May 09 with 85k. Also in really great condition with heated seats -foglights tho. Mine's Sterling Mist, but i really like your white one with those wheels, I'm on blades. All in All great Find! I like older people they really know how to appreciate things.
