really high idle after workin on upper intake manifold
worked on my upper intake manifold a few days ago. cleaned up the throttle body, that was super black, the idle air control valve too. for some reason the evap valves had little black carbon deposits in them, they were full of it. but ill fix that later. i also tried to clean up some of the upper intake, which is still kinda black. put new gaskets all over.
BUT....
now a few times when i drive and then stop at a light the engine will stay, revving too high. usually its between 600 and 700 rpms. but now it revs and stays at 1000 rpms untill i take off again, then it'll normalize itself. just wonderin if anyone who did this work had this problem before. .
THANKS...

Adjust you IACV so the rpms go down. As long as you plugged everything back in (like vacuum lines etc) I think thats about normal when removing carbon from the TB.
Also, your idle should be between 700 -850.
