Battery and A/C problem

Okay so today I get into my car to drive and I have no cold air the alt/brake light is on and the clutch to the a/c is turning but no cold air. My mother has been driving my car for the last two weeks so I'm not sure when this started to happen. I also just replaced the reciever/drier and replaced the freon not more than 2months ago. I did a leak test also with gauges. I also had it checked out by Firestone and they told me of no leaks just poor air circulation. That turned out to be a dirty evap core. I cleaned it and had cold air up until today?! Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have an AC/Alternator belt still? because that's EXACTLY what happened to my Maxima and I was driving on battery power for 3 days until it finally died.

It's not freon.

If the clutch is being driven, then the belt is there.

So you had cold air up until today, or sometime within the time your mother was driving? You said both. It can't both be today and 'you don't know when'.

Have the charging system tested, and check for refrigerant leaks; a damaged condenser, a pipe that's been rubbed through, etc. Something as small as a rock on the road could puncture the condenser, leading to a refrigerant leak.

After talking to my mom it started around monday. So if I have a leak and there is no cold air would'nt the clutch remain off? Also does a bad altenator cause the a/c to blow warm since the battery light with brake light was coming on when my mother noticed the warm a/c? I also have the dye in the system courstey of firestone who checked it before. When I visually looked at the sytem with the light I see no leaks. So what gives?
