what projector is this?!?

please... anyone know what vehicle this projector came from? and can you prove it?

^^ this is almost identical to my projector, but the bi-xenon solenoid on mine only has 2 wires coming out of the plug.

i have been told A3, A6, E46, VW Passat, etc.

it would make sense to be all of them, because many vehicles share projectors, but these 4 cars do not.

i thought they were A6 until i was looking for a schematic, and no A6 came with this particular projector, or at least as far as i could tell. obviously, it's bi-xenon, but that doesn't help much.

any help is greatly appreciated! THANKS!

tyler

so one of my "e46" projectors ended up broken, the day after my retrofit was completed, the female connector on my solenoid broke off somehow.

there's a guy selling a single e46 on hidplanet, and everything looks the same except for the bulb holder and the bixenon solenoid. his is missing the pigtail, so i would have to use mine.

2 questions:
1) my bulb holder is the type that inserts, swivels 1/4 turn clockwise, and is screwed in with 3 x T10 star screws. his bulb holder was a plastic screw-type, but it's missing. will my bulb holder swap in?
2) my bixenon solenoid pigtail has 2 wires, his was 3, but it too is missing. will my pigtail plug into his female connector?

worst case scenario, i spend 35 bucks on something i can't use, but it would be nice to make a good decision on this f#$%ing retrofit for once.
