Y pipe question

Here's what's up, I have a stillen muffler and a 2.5 inch B pipe. I want even more power so I think Im gonna get a Y pipe. My question is will it be too loud? I love the way it sounds now, but I wouldn't mind it louder, just not obnoxiously loud. Anyone with a full exhaust and intake care to tell me just how loud thier car is? Do you like it?

It will definitely be louder. It shouldn't sound ricey though and you'll love the extra power. It's only noisy on hard acceleration. Whos' y pipe are you gonna get? I think I may go w/ Warpspeed.

I'm thinking Stillen, don't go warpspeed, my friend had one and it didn't fit right. I am not aware of too many fitting problems with the stillen one, and it not too expensive, so I may go with that one.

A buddy of mine just got the warpspeed and is very happy w/ it. Another friend got the Cattman. All these bastards around me getting y-pipes. You may want to do a search. I've read that Stillens is probably the worst for making the 'bees in a can sound' (whatever that is) There is also a group deal at custommaxima.com on the cattmans. We have some choices now: Cattman, Stillen, Warpspeed, and Budget - I'm still searching around to figure out which one to get. Good luck w/ you car.

I know this has been brought up before, but am I gonna lose torque with the Y pipe? I hope not.

I have the same set up as you except the b-pipes and yep its gonna get pretty loud at lower rmps but I like it. Go with any company you want. MaxedOut97SE: Your friend had fittment problems with Warpspeed, guess what? I had fittment problems with Cattman.

You are going to gain so much power you won't know what to do with it. You might lose some power at like 1500 rpm but that doesn't matter. My trap speeds went up nearly 4 mph with only a y pipe.

I had problems with both Warpspeed and Cattman. So they all suck

Actually my cattman is quieter than my Warpspeed was, but I had a leaking flex section. And I also prefered the customer service of Brian Catts. Both companies make a good product, but I feel Brian's is slightly better in quality.

NO it fit fine, it just had a big hole in the flex section that made it sound awful, Warpspeed sent me a replacement and it had the same freaking problem, they were suppost to remburse me for my muffler shop bill but they never did

I GOT A CATTMAN AND DIDNT HAVE NO FITMENT PROBLEMS

when I got my cattman I thought it wasnt going to fit. Actually I was not using some sense. Here it is Ill use number for everyone to understand Your facing the rear of your car correct. #1 will be the first section of the pipe, #2 will be the center section of the ypipe and #3 will be the rear section by the catalytic converter. well you obviously will put on the #2 section and then for the #1 section you have to pull push that section towards the front of the car and your done. the #3 section is very easy just tighten the two nuts by the cat. NO fitment problem whatsoever. This was the one mod that you will notice the most hp besides a Supercharger or NOS which I dont have.
