Brake pad replacement
The brake pads that will give you the most grip are going to be racing pads. The downside to race pads are they generally squeak a lot more, wear out faster and may have a higher degree of temperatrue dependance. As far as a specific pad that you would have to google it or something as I don't ahve any experience with racing pads...

I was just looking for a good deal on parts...since being unemployed....recession sucks, yeah really sucks.
The Akebono Proact pads are good but the new Akebono Street Performance pads are awesome. I have them on with Brembo blanks. Put them on Fri. July 3rd. The next Monday they saved me on I84 with very little drama as far as whether I was goning to be able to stop fast enough. I was afraid of being rear ended.
If you are performing your own brake job (which I just finished last night), remember to clean the new rotors. No matter what brand you get, it is a good idea to wipe all the protective oils on the rotors. Remember to bed the pads into the rotor. When I did this today, it was fairly easy; the brakes had a little fade at first and then they firmed right up. Stop on a dime now and feel much safer.
for the fronts, i always buy OEM brake pads....reason is, they don't grind or groan or squeek when you slowly roll to a stop or inch forward little by little while pressing on the brake. i've tried almost all the aftermarket pads from autozone, checkers, advanceauto, napa....they all give the same noise. for the rear, any cheap pads would do it for me.
