Speaker Wiring Question

I want to disconnect the BOSE audio signal to the left hand door. This is D2 on page EL-299 of the factory service manual for my 95 Maxima GLE. I can't find this connector. It looks like it's on the chassis side of the door hinge. Can anyone help me find it?

Problem: When it is warm, I get a loud tone from the left door speaker. It's so loud that I don't know if there is any audio signal going to the other 5 speakers. I don't know if there is a problem with the LH amp or if it is a problem with the head unit. I bought another head unit from ebay and got the same result. Something is wrong. For now, I pulled the fuse to the BOSE amps.

Why don't you just unplug the speaker directly inside the door panel?

So you've looked where the door harness enters the body, inside that cavity?

I was hoping to disconnect it from the chassis side under the steering wheel instead of taking apart the door panel. The harness wasn't obvious. Is it behind the fusebox? I suppose I can take apart the door panel tomorrow. It's a lot to disconnect.

Not really, it takes about 5 minutes to get the door panel off if you've done it before.

It's 'behind' the fusebox insomuch as the fusebox obstructs your pathway to get to the harness, sure.

Again, look in the cavity where the door harness comes into the body.

Update:

I started to remove the driver-side door panel when I discovered that the speaker connector was easily accessible under the window control panel. I hooked up a pc speaker to the audio signal wires and verified that an audio signal was coming through. This leads me to believe that there's something wrong with the amp. I therefore removed the rest of the door panel and removed the amp. At least I have some speakers working and can turn the radio back on. Hopefully I can find a replacement amp on ebay.

You could probably find one for dirt cheap from the classifieds.
