what's this pigtail for?

Just found a 2-wire pigtail taped to the wires that go to the cig lighter. Anybody know what it's for?

On a completely seperate note - What is the blind plug beside the dimmer switch for? Some option (that I don't have on my car) that required a switch?

If you search, the cig lighter plug was covered in a thread not two weeks ago.

That's just how the cluster surround is. '99s had a TCS switch, you could put a folding mirror switch there, power trunk release, etc.
