first off, lower the car. dont put any fog lights, take off the front plate and if you get black housing turn signals it go with the headlights. some low offset wheels will help out too...

I concur. The only time it is acceptable is when it is required by state law. The Nismo plate looks tacky. The White car is decent.

No, it's fine for him to get a fake intercooler if he also gets an electric Turbonator and a fake BOV whistle to stick in the tailpipe.

I get told mine looks mean all the time, but mine is just a stock A32B front end with some retrofitted R34's I think mine has a lot to do with having a light colored car and black headlights, though.

Not needed are you serious? have you ever had or seen a hood fly up on someone? They may not look the best but i dont care how nice the hood latch is on a cf or fg hood you should still run them. You could get the aero catch ones that **** flush if you dont like regular style ones.

In short either spend $10-100 dollars on hood pins or spend at least $1000.00 on a new hood windshield, and repair of dent on the roof. Thats assuming the hood didnt obstruct your vision long enough to smash the car up.
But back on topic the stock front end looks good in my opinion especially with a lower lip.

His post was saying that he dislikes the way they looked, and wishes that they weren't necessary. He never said that it is a good idea have a carbon fiber hood without any hood pins.

Who are you trying to educate on CF hoods? Ive had three of them, and Im very well aware that hoodpins are a neccessasity. I also know about the aerocatch pins, but Im a bit uneasy with them, being that you have to cut so much of the hood for them to fit. No to mention they are way overpriced.

Hey, if you don't mind can you post some more pics? I have the same year and same color and I'm trying to figure how to make my car's aesthetics better. I also really like your headlights. What type are those?

Those sir, are the Ebay R34 1 Piece headlights. They are great for looks, but the Output of them on the road SUCKS. you get a "W" on the road type light pattern, if you will.

If you want these headlights, the best thing to do is retro them with projectors like the 78% of us did on the org including me.

If you need projectors, look around here on the .org or go to this website.

www.theretrofitsource.com

to better add to the look of your R34 1 piece headlights, try to do a Dual projector look. Maybe seem better or may seem worse depending on what projectors you have and what you did with them to make it astoundingly stunning. Now don't forget the shrouds. which can range from $0.00 to a good $100+.

Now go out there and make your car HAPPY!

Dual projectors are great in R34s. They look way better than stock R34s or single projector R34s. But they also get more expensive, especially if you get four HIDs.

Alright, so what else did you do cosmetically? The color we have is very unique, sometimes dark red, sometimes purple depending on the light. From the pics, it seems you did clear corner lights, r34 headlights, and lip kit. Anything else?

Drop the car at least 2" in the front, 18" wheels (deep dish), and low prof. tires. Get some fog lights (H3 HID 6000k), and 10000k (HID) low beams on top. change the grill, and take off the lisc. plate.. If you dont have an intercooler, please cover that hole in the middle with a nice wire mesh that matches.. hope this helps..

okay... a few things to clarify.

I dropped my car 2.25" in the front, and 2" in the back.... it is sitting on 17" rims. with Brand new tires....... the hole does have 'mesh' the reason you can't see it is because the angle of the car. but eh... o_O

AE'd headlights, ~2" drop, and a stillen lip gives off the meanest look on a Maxima, IMO.

QNO_A32's got the idea. Looks perfect.

Are you going 4 wheeling with those wheels and tires? Too much rubber. You cannot have a mean Max with a 215/60/17. The side wall should be no more than a 45 series, and you should not be able to get more than 2 fingers between the tire and the fender.

The top pic I have to use a 1/4 inch spacer to clear the brakes, but the bottom pic is no spacer with 18X8 infinity wheels with 245/40/18s.
I'm now running 245/30/18 R comps on the infinity wheels.

I dont see how running 10000k can achieve an agressive look.

i think the pearl looked better too. "R34" headlights, better wheels and maybe some ID side skirts would make it look better...

I meant specifically the picture with the G35c wheels. You mean they're 18x8 all around, right? That would explain why they look so perfectly flush
