I believe there's some detailed info on the stickies (which are the very first threads on this forum and are always there) What kind of power are you looking to gain? More power during take off or while you're already rolling?

Just some advice, a Maxima is a kick *** car to get for a first car, I wish my first car would've been a Max, If i were you, I'd keep it stock for now until you become a more experienced driver and have had your license for at least a year or two.

Things to consider
-intake
-y pipe
-under drive pulley
-5spd is by far the best swap if its auto
-00vi
-short throw shifter (again you'll have a GLE so not for you)

Note those are all power mods, you may want to begin modding suspension instead.

Front/Rear strut tower brace (fstb/rstb
Lower Tie Bar
Polyurethane bushings
dropping spring and stiffer struts
bigger and wider rims

thats just some of the stuff you can do, someone else will chime in

Having listed those, you can search for them using the advanced search and select 4th generation 95-99

Read that, all answers are there

l don't think you'll get to 250 hp of a sc/tc. Go to the all motor section and the Dyno section and see what people are putting out w/ there mods

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny, my family's car choices are almost the same as yours. Except my Maxima is white, and my sister's Accord is gunmetal.

But yeah, you could go with the recommended modifications from the HowTo section. Just don't go too crazy with your mods, and keep it simple. Its a life lesson learned from my younger days. (One year ago )

I understood your question (i was using my tablet so the text came out wrong, sorry). my answer is not likely, it is possible but not easy. You'll need either engine management or air flow control systems but those can't really be utilized until you basically modded your Max out completely. There is a link to SAFC/VAFC in the link I posted

Dyno section has answers. On this board the advanced search function is your best bet to get any answer. For 4th gens there has been a thread on nearly every issue you can ever come across. Here r some dyno slips from the Dyno section

holy huge picture batman!!!

and yes, there are lots of opportunities to mod, even cheaply

yes, the motor in the 5th gen is the vq30de-k, which has a variable intake and its makes appx 20hp more, i think
