99 to 95 engine harness swap

I have a 95 engine harness and recently aquired a 95 ECM both from a 5 spd and was thinking about replacing the whole 99 engine control harness. I know I'm going to lose my EGR function and some other emissions control stuff but aside from that, is there anything else I should be aware of of when considering this. I have an auto fully controlled by the SSV4 but I was still wondering if a 5 spd harness would cause any issues. I thought about doing the repin but my current harness is in pretty rough shape and swapping it out might be a better option. I've heard it's a PITA to swap out the harness with the motor in but I'm gonna give it a shot.

Swapping out the harness with the engine in isn't that bad, probably only take you a few hours your first time.

Are you going to be running a dedicated harness directly to the trans from the SS?

You will have to modify either the engine control harness or the engine room harness where they meet up at the left side fuse box, those connectors change shape and pinout over the years.

Well right now the TCM is completely out of the car. I have the SS wired directly to the transmission via the existing harness but that shouldnt be a problem since it's only 4 wires all together anyway (Sol A & B, lockup, overrun clutch). My main concern is with the PNP switch connectors, VSS, and revolution sensor. How can I get around these with a 5 spd harness?

I was unaware of the different connectors at the fuse box but I guess I could make a patch harness by grabbing connectors from a 99 and 95 at the UPIC yard.
