ecu installation and weird idle

I had another ecu installed in my Max yesterday, and since it was installed, the idle has been really low. When I went in, my idle was fine, but after the install, it was low, like between 300-400, and sometimes it felt like it was gonna shut up. This morning I had to give it gas to keep it from shutting off when I first started to drive. Would this happen if the mechaninc didnt perform the idle relearn procedure? And what procedures must be done when an ecu is changed? Im not getting any codes, so Im assuming everything mechanical is fine, and it didnt start until after the ecu was installed.

The ecu itself seems fine. How do I relearn the idle?

There is no 'idle relearn' on the A32, really.

Are you sure the diagnostic screw is fully in the correct position?

Have you tried swapping back to the other ECU to see if the idle goes back to normal?

Ive got a question, ive just found a ok to big sized hole in my exhaust system, and that will be getting fixed this weekend, could that be creating or contributing to my low idle? If so, why was my old ecu idling fine at 5-600?
