noise in neutral

noise in neutral
i have a completely stock 97 maxima while running in neutral there is a constant noise but as soon as i push the clutch in all the way the noise goes away. anyone know for sure what the problem could be?

We could appreciate more specefics about your car, mods, miles and of course the great pmohr's fave question...

IPS bearing.

It's a common issue with all 5 speed 4gens.
