HYPER GROUND WIRE KIT ?!?!
HYPER GROUND WIRE KIT ?!?!
ok, so i have been doing some research and found that this kit is really really helpful at idling, shifting, acceleration smoothness, and others ...
well i have been seeing a lot of opinions on what to ground the battery to?
ive looked in NYCmaxima's as well, and some people keep saying completely different locations... Does anyone here know whats the perfect places to connect the wires to?
How hard is it to install with someone with good knowledge , but not that good with car electric issues? and should i use Sun's hyper ground kit, or an ebay knock off for 20? any ideas or opinions are really appretiated =]
thanks

Well to be honest there kinda of a rip off unless your running really high horse power, if your running stock or maybe have a few bolt on kits its useless. Be sides those kits take all your grounds and make it one common ground, witch seems stupid to me cause last time i checked current takes the least path or resistance. Now what i think you do is go and get some decent gauge wire like what you used to hook up an amp in your car and just replace your old grounds with that, that i what i did worked out great. make sure you seal the ends good though.
uhum. well thought off.
ok now i get the picture a lot better.
the last thing i want to ask about is that i heard if you ground the hyper kit to your alternator or something your tranny iirc, you wont have the 2 second delay that some people have when you drive at WOT. and they even said that it lowers idle rpm by a significant amount...
do you think that this is true? and besides i dont have a sound system or subs just stock bose system with different speakers in the back , so yea..
my mods are a couple of exhaust changes /intake/01vi etc... so will it help with any of the things i asked?
sorry for asking too much

I have an E-Bay knock off with 7 grounding point. once i had it installed i noticed that my HID's shined brighter, my stereo(factory) hit harder, car started smoother, blah blah blah. i connected the 7 points to 1. engine block 2. fire wall 3. left fender 4. right fender 5. starter 6. rear uim 7. i forgot...sorry. I think it works, buy one and just see how it works for you......ask me if u have questions.

word. thats what im talking about =]
how hard is it tho to do the whole thing? and umm for the 7th one, can i connect it to the alternator or tranny? what do u think man
IDK, if it's a good idea to have it connected to the alternator, IIRC - i tried it and it drained the hell out of my battery. I'd go to start my car and it wouldn't crank so i had to jump it. Confused the $4it out of me, of what i did wrong. Ran out of daylight had to take the other car to work the next day. When i got home i rejumped the Max. Turn it off and dead again. So i unconnected everything started from zero EXCEPT the alt. Since then NO problems. I'll look and see where the 7th connection is...
you guys make me frowny face =[
Seriously... Are you guys insulting the Nissan Engineers?
Do you think that our cars always ran this crappy? Yaknow just off the lot they had cranking problems, the headlights were dimm....?
Replace and reground your existing corroded insufficient grounds and you'll get the same effect as you would chopping up a perfectly good 0/1 guage wire..
