My clutch sounds like brake moan! Like a dragging caliper.

I first started hearing it a few weeks ago, I was pissed because I thought it was a classic rear caliper (They are new). It sounds exactly like a sticking rear caliper, only when you engage the clutch under load (ie it won't do it in nuetral)

Anyways, I'm only wondering if anyone else has heard this before and how long there clutch lasted. The mileage etc on this clutch is completely 100% unknown, it's a mystery clutch from a drivetrain that I never bothered to split apart since it's for my own car and I could give 2 ****s if I have to drop my trans, but now I am wondering if anyone else had similiar issues because if the disc is going to slip in 3 weeks I'll cancel getting an alignment next week and take the pressure plate in my sig down.

I know the cause of brake groan in brakes is usually a poor rotor finish, but I've never heard it in a damn clutch before. It sounds exactly like a frozen caliper, but it's not, 100% I can hold my foot on the brake and start to engage the clutch and it will do it.

i get the same sound too, it started over a year ago, kinda groans no matter how slow i let out the clutch until it warms up, even then it sometimes does it. It only happens when I take off from a stop in 1st and R but if i use second to start I still get the groaning but not after the initial take off. the clutch, as far as i am aware, is oem and has 125xxx miles. i usualy just let the car warn up for a min longer than normal and that usually makes it go away or if its a warm day out it won't do it.
