:( Need Help: Problems with my tranny

My tranny is doing funny things.

When the car is warm> No problem
When it is cold outside, and I start the car after it has sat for a while, when I move it from park into reverse or any gear for that matter, the car dies. It seems like it goes into the highest gear with no slippage.

When I do get it going, it quickly shifts into the highest gear. Imagine being in overdrive at 30. It even does it when I manually shift it into first. But as soon as it warms up, all the problems go away.

What is happening.

I was planning to get the tranny mod, but want to wait until I resolve this. or is the valve body screwing up and replacing it with the performance upgrade fix the problem. I kinda don't want to go to the dealership because the one near me is a "it doesn't work, we need to replace it."

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How about taking it to a transmission shop for a diagnosis?

I'm with Eric, don't modify anything until you are sure your clutches and planetary gear is in order.
