Has anyone ever got this code? It says transmission communication line fault

 

That one is a doozy, I searched and couldn't find any good solutions, I've seen ECU replacement, tranny replacement, CPS replacement, it sounds like a really fun problem to tackle. Oh! and The FSM is full of fun things to do if you have it downloaded.

What problems are you having besides the code?

 

No serious problems. It has a slight rough idle, and it shift hard out of second gear sometimes but thats it, this came outta nowhere...looks like i might have to take it to the dealership

 

After searching 1605, I found that it's actually P1605, aka 0804, use those terms for a search, there are quite a few threads with that code mentioned, you should check those threads out.

But hard shifting? There's a diag procedure in the FSM for it.
