Extended stud help
I need to get some extended studs in the front to safely clear my 5mm spacers. I am not catching as many threads as i know i should. i know the knurl diameter i need, but what about length?? I checked the Ichiba website and it says i need either 35 or 45mm. Any help would be appreciated. FYI I did search only got 3 things, none of which helped me
Hmm, Im running 5mm in the fronts and still use the OEM studs, mine catch just fine and have never had an issue.
5mm is usually the limit you can go with before needing longer studs. Im thinking if you go with a longer stud on 5mm you going to need to use an open ended lugnut.
I know many others who have run 5mm as well without going to longer wheel studs.

These are the ones I was looking at 35mm spacers. It says they are good for spacers up to 5mm.

I see where you are coming from. I never had problems with the rear, but I seem to have problems with the front studs stripping. What could cause that to happen??

reviving this thread...... what exactly is the factory wheel stud length? some info on my situation..... 300zx bbk going to have 6th gen 18's mounted, which will NOT clear the calipers, i have h&r 10mm spacers with no studs, so i need to figure out the length of the ones i need to buy......... wheel info has a 33 mm offset and it doesnt clear the calipers by about 2 mm's, so would a stud 10mm longer be enough?
Go to Courtesy's site and order the 10mm longer NISMO studs. they tell you which cars they fit.
The NISMO studs are also a much higher qaulity part than the Ichiba studs. I wouldn't touch them. too soft.
ARP, H&R, or Eibach would be the only other wheel studs I'd buy. ARP doesn't make a drop-in application, and I don't know where to find another set of H&Rs... (I use NISMO on my 240 and H&R studs on the Maxima)

lol, i actually figured it would be 10mm longer, but i wasnt sure. thanks matt
