If your changing your 95-96 maxima front bumper cover to a 97-99, do you have to change the front fenders ? May be a dumb question but never the less i still wanna know. Im thinking about do this to my car. Is there anyone who has done this to their car ? Do the bumper covers bolt right up ? Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated !

Do a search. But you do not need to change the fenders.

Bumper and grill is basically all you need. While you're at it, you might as well change the headlights and corner lights.

Quote: I think you also need the center bracket AKA the bumper retainer. The 95/96 is a different part than the 97-99.
to do it correctly probably but its not needed if you want to keep things cheap.

i did my 95 to a 97 conversion and all i used was the bumper and grill. you do not need anything else. no foam, no new fenders, no new support.

I did this conversion myself to my black 96 maxima this past spring. I did it in my driveway and took me almost the whole day since i dont know anything about body work. When it comes to my car, i would do anything.

I got the front bumper and rear bumper from a black 97 maxima from a local junk yard.

The only thing you need is the foam part that goes behind the bumpers and the 97-99 grille. It's not that hard to do just takes time and patience.

Good Luck!

Ding ding ding ding ding, WINNAR

This is really all you need, you can transfer over your old foam insert.
Not sure where everyone is getting the idea of having to transfering over the support, foam insert to do this.
When I did mine, I bought a new cover only, had it painted and just did the swap. I actually used my 95-96 grill for a bit untill I found a white QNO SE grill.
