Attempt 1 at Installing Stillen RSB: Failure...

Well, I attempted to install my Stillen RSB this morning with no luck. Whoever put the lugnuts on my back wheels last put them on way too tight. I managed to break a piece off of one of my wheel locks (yes, I said wheel locks), so now I have to figure out how to get that off before I can install the car. Looks like I have to buy new wheel locks.

I'm extremely ****ed off because this is such an easy install and yet I managed to screw it up!

As far as I know, and I could be wrong, but do you really have to take off the wheels to install the RSB? I dont think you do, I think if you jack it up and get under there, it installs right to the frame. Not sure though. Sorry to hear bout those wheel locks, those a re a ***** thats why I dont have them. Ill get them when I get my 18s though.

When I put on the addco RSB(not sure if it will be different for Stillen), I backed the car up onto ramps and just put the thing on, then drove it down off the ramps. It took about an hour to do it all. Most of the time was spent trying to get the damn trailing arm bolts to fit.

Sorry about your wheel locks.

Yea, but there is this one bolt I can't get to unless the wheel is off. I think it is the e-brake cable bolt that I have to take off and put the clamps behind it.

I'm gonna try taking the wheel locks off with an impact gun at my neighbors body shop when I get a chance to get over there. I still can't believe that I messed up such an easy install.

How much are new wheel locks gonna run me anyway?

It is alot easier to install the stillen RSB with the wheels off. I plan on putting my RSB back on this afternoon. IT should not take more than 1 hour to do. I took it off my old max in about 25 min.
Good luck on the next attempt.
