why not do whatever makes you happy and not what other people say. the ultimate choice is up to you.

The maxima has always been a great and my car puts up with me...haha. Most BMW's are great cars as well. you will not be dissapointed if you buy the 530i. You will also not be dissapointed if you keep your maxima. GL with your choice

Id say keep the maxima, besides why would u start from scratch again. it is a BMW true, but You should just keep it....

YEah Beamers are nice but too epensive to maintain. Im not droppin 100 bucks jus to change oil.

If you are a retard who takes your car to the dealer to change the oil, then yes, you should stay away from BMWs.

If changing the oil isn't such a greuling task that you can't possibly do it yourself, then change your own oil.

dont do it my maxima has 273xxx miles and its still running strong i had a 530 and it completely failed on me

Make the switch. Every time I get to drive/ride in my friends 528i, I hate my Maxima more and more. Build quality is excellent, everything is well laid out and feels solid and no rattles. I've never really been a fan of the soft steering so thats +1 for the BMW. My friend in his 4 year ownership has never had any non-maintenance related problems. It doesn't mean you'll be exempt, but a lot of people give BMW a bad rep for unreliability. They require more preventive maintenance measures, but ya gotta pay to play right? Just make sure to get a PPI and have some money set aside for those rainy days. One of these days I'll be making the switch

Do it...I bought a 1987 528e for my daughter and it rode better than the max, and it had 250,000 miles. If you do your own maint it's that much more fun. That e28 was easy to work on. btw she crashed it after four years, and now she's in a 3rd gen max.

Jus as an aside....

Last night i test drove the new Chevy Cobalt SS. Its 260 HP turbocharged 4cyl.

Its quicker than the maxi...but its gear ratios are horrible and it has tremendous torque steer. Needed two hands on the wheel jus to keep the car straight and the darn thing would wander and float. The clutch felt like crap and it shifted gears pretty dramatically.

Short conclusion, im still stickin with my Maxi hehe
